Community Guidelines

Mexas en Boston works because members treat each other like paisanos. A few simple commitments keep it warm and safe.

Be a good paisano

  • Treat everyone with respect. No harassment, hate speech, discrimination, or bullying.
  • Be honest — real name, real affiliation, accurate listings and reviews.
  • Keep it relevant to the community: connection, mutual help, and belonging.

Keep it safe

  • No scams, fraud, or misleading offers. No spam or repetitive self-promotion.
  • Nothing illegal, unsafe, or age-restricted (weapons, drugs, counterfeit goods, etc.).
  • For marketplace, jobs, and services: Mexas is only a connector. Never pay before you receive, meet in public, and vet the other person. Don't share sensitive personal or financial details.
  • Don't post others' private information without their consent.

Help us moderate

  • Report anything that breaks these guidelines — every listing, profile, review, and message can be flagged.
  • You can block or mute members you'd rather not interact with.
  • We review reports and may remove content, warn, suspend, or remove accounts. Serious or repeated violations end membership.
